Aizawl, 16 September 2025: A delegation from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC), led by Shri Durjya Dhan Chakma, met His Excellency, the Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram, General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd), at Raj Bhavan today to raise key developmental concerns of the CADC.
The delegation included Shri Molin Kumar Chakma, State Vice President, Shri Purna Muni Chakma, Treasurer, Shri Uday Tongchangya, Secretary, and Shri Amiyo Bikash Chakma, Secretary.
During the meeting, the team submitted a representation seeking a review of Part-IV of the Report of the Sub-Committee on Manpower Assessment to the Study Group-cum-Cadre Review Committee, titled “Department-wise Recommendations Specific to Autonomous District Councils and Comparative Statement.” The delegation pointed out the glaring disparities in staffing patterns among the three Autonomous District Councils of Mizoram and called for a uniform framework to ensure fairness.
Responding to the concerns, the Hon’ble Governor assured the team that he has already instructed the Chief Secretary to take measures towards equitable staffing and manpower distribution. He emphasized that such disparities would not be allowed to persist.
