Bhopal, September 19: Dr. Sankar Chakma, faculty member in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal has been elected as a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI], the world’s largest multidisciplinary professional society of engineers.
The fellowship is one of the highest recognitions in the engineering community and acknowledges Dr. Chakma’s significant contributions to the field of chemical engineering.
Colleagues and students at IISER Bhopal have extended their congratulations, expressing pride in his achievement. “This recognition is a testament to Dr. Chakma’s dedication and impact in advancing engineering research and education,” the institute said in a statement.
Dr. Chakma’s fellowship adds to the growing list of accomplishments by IISER Bhopal faculty and reinforces the institute’s standing as a hub for cutting-edge scientific and engineering research.
