Imphal, 30th December, 2025: Member of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, K. Robindro Singh, has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur, especially the Meitei/Meetei community, on the auspicious occasion of Emoinu Eratpa Numit 2025.
In his message, Singh described the occasion as a moment of honour and privilege, highlighting the cultural and spiritual significance of Emoinu Eratpa Numit, which is observed on the 12th day of Wakching month of the Meitei/Meetei Lunar Calendar. The day is traditionally celebrated by offering fresh vegetables, fruits, whitish fish, and lighting lamps to appease Ema Emoinu, revered as the Goddess of wealth and prosperity.
The MLA noted that Emoinu Eratpa Numit symbolizes harmony, prosperity, and moral guidance, adding that it is believed the world would be free from sorrow if humanity follows the principles and teachings of Ema Emoinu.
Calling for unity and collective celebration, Singh urged people to observe the festival with festive fervour and devotion, praying for a prosperous, peaceful, and united Manipur.
Emoinu Eratpa Numit continues to be one of the most important traditional observances of the Meitei community, reinforcing cultural values, social harmony, and spiritual faith.
